I just want to give you a head's up that I submitted twice. Totally followed the wrong instructions to grab the link at first. The second submission has the correct link attached. Sorry!!!

I am pretty sure the SEO story url content cannot be viewed until after the story is released. This is how I have been setting up “next chapter”s when I bulk schedule my serial, so everyone’s gonna need to use the secret draft url. I don’t know if the draft url survives the scheduling. It might.

Also, if you’re entering the contest then, yes, we require the secret URL. But if you are NOT entering the contest and just participating in the event, then we only need the SEO URL to confirm the story is scheduled. As outlined in the form. What we ask for changes depending on the answer to the question of which you are doing.

If you follow the steps I put in the post you can retrieve the SEO url from the dropdown SEO menu in the Settings. It’s how I do any TiF Disruption. And as long as the post is scheduled then when you put that URL in the window it will simply show you the image and a note saying the Post will be Live on the scheduled date. If you give me a moment I can share multiple SS of how/where you find the SEO URL that I need.

That’s what I use the SEO url. So how do the judges judge if the content can’t be seen. I’m sorry, I will go back and re-read. Clearly the old noggin is not working well this morning.

No worries this is helpful to me to make sure I’ve worded things properly. The form should ask for the secret URL if you select that you’re entering the contest and something different if you answer that you’re not entering the contest, meaning you just wish to participate in the event and share your story alongside everyone else. I’m not at a computer right now to look at the form and make sure it’s outlined in this way. Though I will double check that and I will check how I’ve worded it in this post as well. Thank you for your feedback!

Ah! I looked at the form but hadn’t chosen anything (I was there ‘cause I was curious as to how you were doing this!) so that’s probably why I didn’t see the place for contest url!

I might spend the night seeing if I can come up with something since i have a free day tomorrow, but quick question

Would it be okay to just use “Eye See You” as the title or does it have to have a different title

Erica Drayton's avatar

You can use the theme as the title.

KL will be kicking himself!

If KL is who I think you are referring to…KL will def not be kicking himself in this instance 👀🤫

Interesting. Impatiently awaiting Friday the 13th.

Ohhhhh yes! This sounds amazing. I’m already brainstorming ideas. 👀

Probably won't hit the competition deadline, but hopefully will have something for the 13th. All I need is an idea...

Hi FranB, glad to see you participating. Just a heads up that only stories that meet the deadline will be included in the post that goes out on the 13th but you are more than welcome to share yours on the 13th. I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Are we allowed to use royalty free soundbites in our stories?

TiF Team's avatar

I don't see why not. And now I'm intrigued! lol

Hi Nick, thank you for pointing this out to me! I have updated the post to reflect the correct date of June 2nd.
