TIF NEWS FOR WRITERS
Hi all! This is a new section I’ll be including in these TiF Notification emails. It will include very important information with regards to opportunities for writers within the Top in Fiction and TiF Press family. So, make sure you read this whenever you see it as it won’t necessarily be in every Friday email.
StoryStack Saturday - beginning tomorrow and every Saturday following we’ll be sending out our first every weekly writing prompts to stimulate writing for anyone who wants to join. Learn what a StoryStack is here and watch out for our first email tomorrow. Also, anyone who participates, your story will be featured on TiF Press every Wednesday where the fiction will be shared every week! If you love writing fiction (of any genre) or looking to practice, this is your chance! To close out 2025 we’ll be continuing our “Behind Every Door” StoryStack that began over on Microzine that was recently retired.
Top in Fiction is the place where fiction lives, but it’s also the place where a community of fiction writers and readers can come together every week to share in their mutual love (and respect) of fiction. Read the guidelines carefully:
Only fiction shared between August 23 - August 29 on Substack!
Any story shared BEFORE the dates listed above will be removed.
This form will CLOSE at 7am EST on Sunday, August 31.
Share fiction you’ve read AND/OR fiction you’ve written. (Self-promotion of your fiction is welcome!)
If self-promoting, submit NO MORE THAN 2 stories! This is a strict rule that will be enforced.
Story must be Free-to-Read (No portion of it can be behind a paywall).
Story must be written in English.
We DO NOT accept stories written by AI. If we discover, at any time, that AI was used, the story will be removed.
