TIF NEWS FOR WRITERS
Hi all! This is a new section I’ll be including in these TiF Notification emails. It will include very important information with regards to opportunities for writers within the Top in Fiction and TiF Press family. So, make sure you read this whenever you see it as it won’t necessarily be in every Sunday email.
Inanimate Objects Contest/Event [October] Submissions close October 15th. Winner announced October 31st during a Live Stream Halloween Day!
Pentober [October] - On Tuesday, September 30th the list of 31 words will be revealed here and cross-posted on TiF Press where select participants stories will be featured on a weekly catch-up post.
A TiF Day of Thanks [November] - On Monday, November 17th a form will open up for you (for 5-days only) to let anyone you like in the fiction community know just how much their writing has meant to you this year. Whether scary, insightful, teary, or laugh-out-loud hilarious. This is your chance to let them know. You can submit your words of praise and thanks anonymously as well as to the fiction community as a whole or a specific person. You can submit as many times as you like. I will be reading either all or a select few of these during a Live Stream of Feel Good Times on Tuesday, November 25th.
A TiF Secret Santa [December] - On Monday, November 24th a form will open up for you (for 5-days only) to state you’d like to participate in this years Secret Santa. You must be willing (and able) to write a short story in 20 days. Your Secret Santa prompt will be given to you on Sunday, November 30th. This is a tight window.
Special emails will be sent on the above listed days to provide further information about each event happening.
Top in Fiction is the place where fiction lives, but it’s also the place where a community of fiction writers and readers can come together every week to share in their mutual love (and respect) of fiction. Read the guidelines carefully:

Any story shared BEFORE the dates listed above will be removed.
This form will CLOSE in 1 hour from NOW.
Share fiction you’ve read AND/OR fiction you’ve written. (Self-promotion of your fiction is welcome!)
If self-promoting, submit NO MORE THAN 2 stories! This is a strict rule that will be enforced.
Story must be Free-to-Read (No portion of it can be behind a paywall).
Story must be written in English.
We DO NOT accept stories written by AI. If we discover, at any time, that AI was used, the story will be removed.
