Hi all! This is a new section I’ll be including in these TiF Notification emails. It will include very important information with regards to opportunities for writers within the Top in Fiction and TiF Press family. So, make sure you read this whenever you see it as it won’t necessarily be in every Sunday email.
TiF SUMMIT 2026 SPOTS AVAILABLE
Hi All, I have done my due diligence when it came to getting those who originally expressed interest to get their spot. But now I have 6 spots available after many have bowed out or simply not responded to my multiple emails and DMs. If you would like to claim one of these spots, please DM me over on TiF Team or REPLY to this email and I’ll see if you are able to participate. Please only express interest if you are available the weekend of January 16th, you have a smart phone with the Substack App installed, and you are capable of reading a short story Live on camera. If you fit that criteria and you are interested, I’d love to hear from you!

A TiF DAY OF THANKS
Have you read a story in this community you really enjoyed or that really moved you? Maybe you’d like to let that person know? Maybe you don’t want them to know it came from you? Let Top in Fiction help you out! We’ll be celebrating all of those creative people we know and love from this year, and years past, by sharing the stories we love that they wrote and perhaps a note or two of Thanks. Look out for the sign-up week on November 17th - November 21st and for the Day of Thanks Live on Tuesday, November 25th.
A TiF SECRET SANTA
This December we are hoping to bring a bit of story-time cheer to everyone by swapping plots and seeing what drops! More info to come. Sign-up week is from November 20th - November 28th and, as always, a Live will happen some time in December before Christmas Day.
Top in Fiction is the place where fiction lives, but it’s also the place where a community of fiction writers and readers can come together every week to share in their mutual love (and respect) of fiction. Read the guidelines carefully:

Share fiction you’ve read AND/OR fiction you’ve written. (Self-promotion of your fiction is welcome!)
If self-promoting, submit NO MORE THAN 2 stories! This is a strict rule that will be enforced.
Story must be Free-to-Read (No portion of it can be behind a paywall).
Story must be written in English.
We DO NOT accept stories written by AI. If we discover, at any time, that AI was used, the story will be removed.
