TIF NEWS FOR WRITERS
It’s almost December and the last month of the year! Take a bow and be thankful for everything you’ve managed to write and release this year! If Top in Fiction is any indicator for just how much output the fiction community has produced, I’d say 2025 was a HUGE success for all of us! I look forward to delivering “the numbers” as TiF sees it during my Annual Review on January 15th.
In the meantime, sit back and relax, unless you’re participating in this years TiF Secret Santa Plot ← → Swap! If you are participating, keep an eye on your Substack DM’s as you’ll receive a reminder that you can start submitting your story on Monday, December 1st. All stories are due by Wednesday, December 17th and there will be a Live on Monday, December 22nd where I’ll reveal who wrote a story using someone else’s plot prompt. Till then…

Share fiction you’ve read AND/OR fiction you’ve written. (Self-promotion of your fiction is welcome!)
If self-promoting, submit NO MORE THAN 2 stories! This is a strict rule that will be enforced.
Story must be Free-to-Read (No portion of it can be behind a paywall).
Story must be written in English.
We DO NOT accept stories written by AI. If we discover, at any time, that AI was used, the story will be removed.
