Hi All! I love a good theme that’s centered around a holiday or a season and so when an opportunity (and theme name) came to me a few months ago, I knew I wanted to share it and see if anyone would be interested in participating. Well, as I should’ve expected, many came through! Here is that list, in no particular order. I urge you to grab a cool drink with plenty of ice just in case, and dive on in! Try not to get scorched as you enjoy these 8 short tales!
The Heat by Chris J. Franklin of Tales of the Zeitgeist
Heatwave's Promise by Gregory Blair of Gregory Blair - Scribbling Entertainment
The Fall of the Aquamen by Evelyn K. Brunswick of In A Different Place
Shedding the Past by Jenifer Jorgenson of Snark Floats
The Cult of the Giant Zucchini by Jeannine Lawall of Life in the Slow Lane
Check It Out by Living Blood of R.L. Butler
The Foothills, July, 1949 by Sharron Bassano of LEAVES
Heat Index by The Radical Individualist of The Radical Individualist
NOTE: There were a few stories that were submitted but not included because they were written long before this theme was introduced. The purpose of this theme was for brand new stories to be written and shared for the occasion. I will be sure to make that point more clear. Also, some stories may not be readily available when you’re receiving this email due to the scheduled time being slightly off of the East Coast timezone of 10am.

Thank you for posting my story, Living Blood. Hope to see y’all there!
This was a fun prompt! Thank you for hosting us. Now, I'm off to read everybody else's stories. 😁
