TiF Around Town…
With the start of June it’s been a pretty crazy week. Lot’s of planning, mostly, and pie in the sky ideas I’ve had to either shut down in my brain or see if maybe I can implement any of them.
Deciding between what I think would be a “cool idea” versus “what I can honestly manage on my own” and “what makes sense for TiF moving forward” is very difficult because not every idea I have can easily fit into each of those buckets and when they don’t it’s even harder for me to let that idea go.
But this is it. This is my last month to finalize what I want to say about the trajectory of TiF as we head into year two! We may be on week 23 of 2025 but we are just a few weeks away from celebrating one full year of Top in Fiction. And I hope it will be a grand celebration. I also hope you will attend! I’ll be delivering the TiF State of the Union (more details below) and you won’t want to miss any of it.
I’m gonna keep my message brief as I’ve got a lot going on and precious little time to plan it all. But before I go:
I typically keep my personal Substack of fiction writing separate from Top in Fiction. However, I’ve been on a streak of writing 100 word stories every single day for…well…as of today I have written 770 stories. That’s 770 consecutive days! I’m headed to 1,000 when I will no longer do this madness and I want to give all of you an opportunity to be a part of the very last 100 word stories I’ll be writing! How? For every person who donates $20 I will write you a 100 word story that will be dedicated to you in the special edition collection that will feature all 1,000 stories plus you’ll get a copy of the ebook version of this book. TiF Presents… - Friday, June 13th, the only, Friday the 13th happening this year, is right around the corner and Top in Fiction would love to collaborate with writers of HORROR! If you write horror or would like to dabble in writing horror, please do join us! The theme is Eye See You and this will be both a contest and an event wrapped into one! All who wish to participate should write then share their story on their own Substack on Friday, June 13th. More information coming June 1st.
TiF State of the Union - Wednesday, July 2nd, is the moment we’ve all been waiting for. Actually, no one’s been waiting for this date more than me. I can finally reveal all the secrets I’ve been keeping since, believe it or not, LAST YEAR, and every single blue print idea I have. Let’s celebrate 52 weeks of Top in Fiction releases by looking at the factual and raw data. Then switch gears to making dreams come true. I’ll even share some of the ideas I tried this past year that just never got off the ground.
