TiF Around Town…
A huge announcement was made during our first ever TiF State of the Union last week. You can watch the recap here but some highlights I want to mention:
TiF Press is its own publishing umbrella where “Top in Fiction (on Substack)” will be a permanent part of.
TiF Press will publish original fiction from its community directly on our website as well as via digital magazines.
The first TiF Press publication will be an anthology featuring some of the stories written for the Eye See You event that took place last month on June 13th.
ReviewStack written by our very own
will be a permanent part of TiF Press. The reviews will go up first on our website and then be shared via Substack Notes. You can read the first review and a backlog of past reviews here.Pages that were once on Substack can now be found on TiF Press with a much better look and feel to them. Most notably: The TiF 100 (this list will update again in August) & The Directory of Books.
Now, onto some news worth noting:
All events listed below can also be found on our Calendar of Events page.
TiF On Serials - Friday, July 18th at 2pm EST - Join 3 amazing fiction writers who are each producing some of your favorite serials out there! We’ll be discussing how they do it, why, and all the nuances involved with creating serials on Substack, plus how they went about publishing their work. Plus, look for the announcement of who the guests will be on July 15th!
TiF Voices - Wednesday, July 30th (times TBA) - We have a robust line-up of fiction writers who will join me for TWO sessions worth of reading a piece of fiction for you.
A House of Horrors Event - Friday, August 1st to Wednesday, October 15th - The next TiF Press writing event is happening and if you see what’s happening with the Eye See You event, then you’ll want to get in on this one! As per usual you can opt to enter the contest or just write a story to participate in the event which is happening on Friday, October 31st for Halloween. More information such as word count length, theme, and submissions link as well as judges and sponsors will be announced on August 1st!
