TiF Around Town…
I will have you know, it isn’t easy finding and reaching out to members of the fiction community who have serials that are active and not behind a paywall. I naively thought it would be oh so easy then quickly realized it wasn’t. But, I found some real gems to start adding to the Wall of Serials which I’ll be sharing in a month’s time. For now, I’m still reaching out to some folks to see if they’d be willing to feature their current and active serial over on a dedicated TiF Press page layout. I may have even teased a few images for how this page will look. Here is an updated one just for you. The top half of the page shows the first come-first served serials that people shared via the Submissions form that opens every Friday. If you write a serial I recommend using it now more than ever as all serials will be listed in this way beginning in September. While the rest of the page is dedicated to active serials.
For those who’ve asked me via DMs:
We will be accepting completed serials in 2026.
We are only accepting active serials, not short serials. What is the difference? Short serials are novella or novelette lengths (typically under 50k words) or when you share your work it’s in “Parts” instead of the usual “Chapter/Episode.”
If you have an active serial reach out via DM and we’ll see about getting you listed on the page early.
Now, onto some news worth noting:
All events listed below can also be found on our Calendar of Events page.
TiF On Serials - Friday August 8th at 2pm EST - Due to technical difficulties we were unable to have this discussion on the previously scheduled date. This is the NEW date. And I know I speak for Hanna Delaney, Bridget Riley, and S.E. Reid when I say we all hope to see you there!
TiF Voices - Wednesday, July 30th CANCELED - If you had this on your calendar, we’ve had to cancel it again. I’m working out a way to make this something that more people actively want to participate in. And it just hasn’t been coming together as I’d hoped since the first and only time we did it.
Inanimate Objects [A TiF Disruption Event] - Monday, September 15th to Wednesday, October 15th - The next TiF Press writing event is happening and if you see what’s happening with the Eye See You event, then you’ll want to get in on this one! As per usual you can opt to enter the contest or just write a story to participate in the event which is happening on Friday, October 31st for Halloween. More information such as word count length, theme, and submissions link as well as judges and sponsors will be announced on September 15th!

Thank you so much for the feature! 👏
Congrats to everyone who made it in! Nice to see Hannah Rose Williams on here, I've been enjoying her comics recently!
I'd love to submit to the Wall of Serials, but sadly, I don't think any of my current works will qualify. They're all expected to finish at under 50k, aside from my joke-y spoof novel which I assume isn't what you're looking for.
