What You Missed, Live! on TiF…
Before we get started, I want to apologize for the delay and assure you that the PDF and Medallions will be available for download before the EOD today.
A lot of little things happening all around Top in Fiction that I can’t talk much about but here’s what I can share:
The TiF Books Directory is up and running again. It was taken down temporarily while I worked on a way to make it look a bit less cluttered and like an endless list. It’s still a bit of an endless list, but it looks much prettier! If you’ve got a book published that you shared with your subscribers on your newsletter first, click the button and fill out the form to get your book listed too:
I want to take some time to discuss why TiF is a weekly thing because I’ve noticed a lot of people who leave recommendations lately have not been following the first guideline lately and that slows down my ability to select 20 stories to feature when I have to look outside of the comments section.
It is very important that recommendations are made for stories written during the week that is presented. I’m going to be a stickler for this now more than ever. That means if I see the recommended story was written before the dates listed I will remove that comment. This space is for newly written stories and I don’t want older stories to take away from that. The reason TiF is weekly is so that everyone has an opportunity to share their work.
If you miss that opportunity because your story is older than one week, make sure to share your new work when it happens. These recommendation posts happen every Friday. There is no need to disregard this one simple rule.
I also suggest not putting more than one recommendation in a single comment. If even one of them isn’t within the designated dates it means that all of your recommendations will be deleted.
I apologize if this seems like a silly stance to take, but the Friday post gets many comments from people who are being consistent in their fiction writing journey. As long as you are being consistent, there will always be an opportunity for you to share your latest and greatest work.
One more thing…
The second Monthly Recap will have some special guests! I totally didn’t plan for this to happen but trust me when I say you won’t want to miss this discussion! I can’t say who it will be but I’m geeking out with excitement over it!
Mark your calendars for Wednesday, March 5th at 1pm EST! ← Note the new time!
